I know your pain, except with me it's my grandma that my JW family tries to keep me away from, and my grandma is Catholic, my Jehovifamily are nuts. The thing that I've learned is stick up for yourself and never ever let them have the upper hand, they will back down. I have one uncle who is afriad of worldly-andre because he thinks I want to kick his ass, I actually prefer that over them thinking I am afriad of them elder people.

JW relatives....ughh
by milligal ini'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this (sorry it's kind of long): both my husband and i are df'd.
both our families are active witnesses.
his family has decided to shun us 150% (you know what i mean, no phone calls even when you're dying).

Jehovies at work
by Wordly Andre inmy best friend chris, works as a supervisor for a construction company has some jehovies that work for him, the other day he was saying how he thinks that they take advantage of the fact that they need time off to go to meetings, and special events.
he goes on to tell me that they must leave early mondays, tuesdays, thursdays and fridays, also they never want to work weekends because of their service time.
i started laughing and told him that he should just fire them, because they are taking advantage of his kindness and that the jws do not have that many meetings.

Well the way the construction industry is right now, he may have to lay them off anyway. My question is why is it ok for them to lie about it?

He knows that my family are JWs and so he knows that I know what I'm talking about, now he is really pissed.

Just because you can find it in your size....
by Wordly Andre inyesterday, i was in court and was sitting in the front row going through my paperwork waiting to see if the defendant will show, i look across the walk way and there is a very large latina girl sitting directly across from me.
she was wearing a short little black dress that had a slit all the way up to ass cheek, her boobs were nearly popping out, her little black dress shoes looked as if she was baking bread in them.
now don't get me wrong i have nothing against full figured girls, however there are limits, i mean did she not know that when she sat down her dress went up over her ass?

Update, Back in the courtroom today and I was thinking about this post that I started, I didn't mean it to sound like I was putting her down because she was fluffy, even if she was thin and her make up didn't look well, clown like, it would still not be proper for her to wear in court. It's amazing what people wear to court, it's not like they didn't know they had court, and it's not a matter of being poor it's just a matter of respect.
